Degasification for natural gas

(1) Principle of degasification

According to Henry's law, "the amount of a gas dissolved at equilibrium in a given quantity of a liquid is proportional to the pressure of the gas in contact with the liquid". The partial pressure of the methane in air (density) below 1 atmosphere is extremely low, and when the methane supersaturates in the liquid, certain gas-liquid contact with air that is caused by concentration gradient between in the air and in the liquid makes degasify the dissolved supersaturation methane gas easily.

(2) Opening to atmosphere

It can be said that it is the easiest, effective method to open the atmosphere as a more reliable means as a method of removing the methane from the hot spring. By opening to atmosphere, not only separation of decompression gas by pumping but also dissolved supersaturation gas will be counterpoised with atmosphere automatically.

(3) Enlargement of gas-liquid contact interface

Transfer of dissolved gas in liquid is worked on interfacial surface (water surface) of liquid phase and vapor phase. Naturally, the larger of interfacial surface area, transfer of the gas will be smoother and be shortened time.
KGS type degasser tower (gas separator) is liquid-phase diffusing method equipment. In the tower, by sprinkling from sufficient height and collide with spatially large filler, it makes great expansion of gas-liquid contact interface and enhance degassing.

(4) Ventilation

In KGS type degasser tower (gas separator), not only diffusion of liquid phase, but also positive vapor phase management have done by ventilation. With tens of times volume of upwind airflow against diffused liquid phase, dissolved gas will be driven degassing. Moreover, the gas exhaust from the exhaust vent is diffused by ventilation.

Iron removal/manganese removal system

In hot spring water, iron and manganese are contained and they buildup in pipes as scale, it is commonly seen at hot spring facilities.

When iron and manganese adhere inside of pump for hot spring, it causes frequent functional decline, and iron adheres on bathtub side and change the color into reddish brown, it make us a lot of trouble to washout in daily work.

Then, we introduced our accumulated know-how in water treatment field to rapid filtering system for removal of iron and manganese, and developed chlorine oxidation treatment method for hot spring water treatment.

Basically, sand filtration method is adopted when only iron contained, and in case manganese exists, applied contact oxidation method with using manganese filtering media and remove it.

A wide variety of components and gas-components are contained in hot spring water. By using together our degasser tower (gas separator/accelerated oxidation column combined type), can remove combustible natural gas as well as can reduce chlorine dosage amount for the purpose of acceleration of iron removal by atmospheric oxidation.

We check components analysis sheet of hot spring water, and based on information of the components, we can recommend suitable treatment system by combination of many kinds of equipments such as combining shale inhibitor equipment. As a result, we could pile up many achievements.

Scale inhibitor system

The metal and the calcium carbonate scale, etc. that are a typical scales of the hot spring can be prevented by the small amount of the scale inhibitor with high stability addition.
However, components of hot spring water are infinite in variety, our total supportive service from evaluation of hot spring water to installation of the system and maintenance can be accommodated.

Corrosion resistance bath cycle filtering system

Until now, generally the specification of bath cycle filtering system for hot spring adopts "with inner lining to iron-application made" or "stainless made". If installation environment is bad, there are some cases on lining products that occurs corrosion trouble not only outside but inner lining, too.
In case "stainless made type", sometimes the equipment goes into unusable because of arising pitting corrosion by chlorine ion in hot spring water.

Our corrosion resistance bath cycle filtering system, of which filtration column (can body) is made by full layer corrosion resistance material (FRP) that is never be corroded by components of hot spring water or seawater.
In addition, FRP is low thermal conductivity and expects 30-40% of energy-saving effect compare with conventional "can body" type.
Filtering pump or hair catcher etc. can be selective to corrosion resistance material base in accordance with hot spring water quality.
Meanwhile, the followings are important for selecting of filtering system.

1)	Keep suitable filtering speed
2)	Select suitable filter and secure height of filter
3)	Material of hair catcher should use corrosive-resistant type as well as filtration column
4)	Specification of filtering pump should meet for the hot spring water quality as well
